K. Armstrong: leader of the mass

This week, Armstrong was brutally murdered by 8 men near his residence in Perambur.  After his demise, social media began to fill with how this man has uplifted many youths and become the voice of the oppressed in Tamil Nadu, especially in North Chennai.    He dedicated his time to uplifting youths with education and professional pursuits.  Due to his advocacy, many lawyers and professionals represent the Dalit community.

Armstrong was the Tamil Nadu president of  Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and an advocate by profession.  He was also a former councilor of Chennai Corporation. Though we failed to hear much about him in the media, and political sector,  he was known for his active role in local politics, especially of Dalits.  In 2011, he contested in Kolathur constituency with a huge influx of supporters yet this did not convert into votes.  It should be mentioned that he contested against M.K. Stalin and is known to criticize the DMK government and its nepotistic culture.

While those lives he touched are mourning him, DMK IT wing is in full-fledged mode of slandering his legacy with fake news propagation.  What is the reason behind this propaganda?  DMK is known for oppressing TAMIL leaders and their voices: we have seen how they oppressed Vaiko, Thiruma, Vijaykanth, Seeman, and now Vijay. When Thiruma gained political momentum, M.Karunanithi burned down an entire village to prevent his fame.  We continue to see how hard they work to slander Seeman.  Due to social media and the public having access to news outside of State-controlled media, Seeman and Vijay are surviving but unfortunately, people like Thiruma and Vijaykanth couldn't.   Unless one becomes an alliance with DMK and becomes their 'indentured laborer', being successful or even staying alive becomes a challenge under DMK.

[Known] Political murders under DMK:

  • 1971 - Uthayakumar [college student]
  • 1997 - Pazhani Baba
  • 1997 - Leelavathi
  • 2003 - T. Krishnan
  • 2011 - Sathik Badsha
  • 2024 - Armstrong

Even with Armstrong's murder, DMK's role is suspected as one of the arrested suspects is affiliated with DMK:

DMK claims to bring social justice but the concept of 'Dravidam' is purely an exchange of power from Brahmins to Pannaiyaars.  We have seen how oppressed are continue to be oppressed, from Vengaivayal to Kallakurichi.  Tamil leaders are always shunned away and abused by DMK, those listed above, and how they have been slurring Tamils of Eezham since they came to power.  Power and money are used to oppress Tamils and to also make sure no Tamil leaders are NOT acknowledged.

DMK continues to fail to whitewash their legacy written in blood: as Eezha Tamils continues to fight against them, followers of Armstrong will surely carry his legacy forward.   To honor him, every single one of them should become the voice of the oppressed and fight against Pannaiyarism in Tamil Nadu to bring a government that treats ALL Tamils as Tamils, not based on caste.  We truly hope this is also a wake-up call for people like Thiruma and Pa. Ranjith who continue to ally with DMK and endorse other oppressions.  Pa. Ranjith's Neelam is a prominent voice in whitewashing the Tamil genocide. May Armstrong's death reflect how DMK/Dravidam is oppressing prominent Tamil voices and causes.

Prominent advocate and voice for Dalits: gone too soon, rest easy sir. Your children will follow in your footsteps.  💙
